How many people go to the gym for two hours and then drive right to taco bell? I know that was me five years ago. Nutrition meant nothing to me at that time. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I wised up and looked in to health eating. The work that’s done in the gym is important for muscle growth, but it means nothing without proper nutrition.

Why is nutrition very important? Just as the way oxygen is important in our lives, so also food is important for our sustenance. A person who does a study of food is called a nutritionist. As the term goes a nutritionist analyzes, interprets, understands, and clarifies nutritional queries to a patient or client. You will find them working in hospitals, clinics, gyms and multi-national companies as consultants.

The new age believes that God is in the details. While we take the utmost care in presenting ourselves, there are a very few of us who actually take care of our bodies. We skip to be detailed in aspects of what nutrients our body needs. Thankfully, at this age we have nutritionists who can help us live a healthy and a better life.

This means that the pH balance must be restored by eating properly, avoiding the wrong food, even if for just 2 weeks, taking nutritional yeasts, staying away from preserved food and toxic sprays, restoring proper breathing habits, drinking more water to hydrate and flush out waste, exercise, and sticking to more natural fabrics to avoid trapping moisture on the skin.

What I found that works well for me is to cook all my foods at once. I like to cook enough food to last a few days all at the same time, and store it all in the fridge. Another way I make meal frequency easy is to pack all my meals for the day the night before. That way all I have to do is heat them up in the microwave.
The first meal of the day for me consists of egg whites and oats. If you’re not trying to lose weight I would recommend adding a few egg yolks in the mix, it tastes better and adds nutrition. The next three meals are about the same consisting of chicken, brown rice, olive oil, and broccoli. If you don’t like to eat the same foods all the, I recommend switching to a different meat or carbohydrate source. The next meal usually is a protein shake before the gym, and the same after. Later on I have another meal like the three earlier in the day, and a protein shake before bed.

Sports today are more than just a mere competition. It has converted itself into a platform of brand eminence and passion. The pressure for the athletes to perform nothing but the best is immense. It is overwhelming to see today’s sportsmen achieve the impossible.An entire team is responsible for the success of an athlete or a team, and a sports nutritionist tops the chart of being responsible.  An ideal sports nutritionist will aim at providing a holistic approach to his/her client.
